There is no doubt that there is an evolution happening in how people get around, from new technologies like autonomous and electric vehicles to the massive growth of ride-sharing. It seems that disruption to a mature industry is happening right before our eyes. That’s why that many people have predicted that these trends would combine to “end” individual car ownership, and that millennials will simply never own cars. But as Mark Twain might put it, perhaps the reports of the car industry’s death are greatly exaggerated.
